From the minute of its debut, it was a smash hit and ultimately stayed at number one for the duration of its run. What ultimately came about was the manga shown above. They liked the idea but they first wanted him to create a manga in order to drum up attention to the movie and increase sales. This was one of Miyazaki's real first debuts on his own, so he wasnt completely trusted by the studios and financial backers. The story of Nausicaa is an interesting one, but more than that, the story of how it actually got made is even more interesting. ![]() However at the same time, nature is fighting back and trying to push back mankind after years of destruction and the killing of the forest in the valley of the wind. One of my favorite films growing up was Hayao Miyazaki's “Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind”, an animated movie about a girl's struggle trying to live in harmony with nature. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The book is written in English (unfortunately I do not have the ability include books in other languages).
